Gary BondGary Bond, FIC
Financial Associate
Kutztown, Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania Region

Gary Bond's distinguished career in financial services came about somewhat by accident.

After a stint in the military and then four years of undergraduate studies, Gary wanted to go out West to find a career. However, his father, Nevin Bond, who was ill at the time, wanted his financial services legacy to continue. And as a recent college graduate, Gary was in the best position of his five brothers to carry on his father's career.

"I started my career out of respect for my father's wishes and it's given me a pretty good life," Gary admits.

As Gary can attest, the early years were not always easy. At the time, he was starting his family along with his career. His responsibilities meant working from the early morning into the late evening, but Gary's strong work ethic certainly saw him through the years. He believes his work ethic was fostered as a child growing up in the heart of the Pennsylvania German countryside.

On top of the busy schedule, Gary also had his father's reputation to fulfill. Even though Nevin was only in the business a few years, he knew a lot of people in the farming community. Fortunately, Gary also speaks Pennsylvania German, which has helped him reach many of the farmers in his area. Even today, Gary's business continues to rest on listening to his members and allowing them to share their stories.

Gary and his wife, Jan, reside in Kutztown, Penn. They have three grown children, Emily, Laura and Steve. In his free time, Gary enjoys camping, socializing with friends and landscaping.
