William HintonWilliam Hinton, ChFC, FIC
Financial Consultant
Concord, Ohio
Ohio Region

Bill Hinton's career with Thrivent financial began in 1981 when he was recruited by his family's financial representative. A far cry from his aspiration as a kid to be a forester, he made the leap from a degree in forestry to braving the waters of the financial services industry.

Bill now leads the Northeast Ohio Group with his partner and fellow Hall of Fame inductee, Jeff Shinabery. The two have been working together since they opened up their office doors in July 2002. According to Jeff, Bill has always led by example within their regional financial office and is someone who has really helped and inspired others.

"There is no secret to success," as Bill put it. "It just takes some hard work." However, Bill credits much of his success to Arthur Teshke, his first general agent who taught him to think outside the box from the beginning. This, and Bill's ability to relate to others with his what-you-see-is-what-you-get honesty has helped him tackle any challenges that have arisen over the years.

Bill and his wife, Debbie, who also works as an administrative assistant in the office, live in Concord, Ohio. They have two sons, David and Steven.
