I forgot my password / how do I reset my password?
You can create a new password by clicking the Forgot Password link on the log in page of the mobile app and then entering your username and the email address you have on file with Thrivent.
I forgot my User ID. How can I retrieve that information?
You can see your User ID by clicking the Forgot User ID link on the log-in page and following the appropriate steps. You will need to enter the email address you have on file with Thrivent.
If I am already registered on thrivent.com, do I need to register for the mobile app?
No. The same User ID and password you use on thrivent.com can be used for the mobile app.
What are the User ID requirements?
Your username must comply with the following rules.
- Username must be between six and 20 characters.
- Username may not have blank spaces.
- Username is not case sensitive.
- Username does not allow special characters (e.g. @, #, $).
- Username cannot be a nine-digit number.
What are the password requirements?
Your password must comply with the following rules and is case sensitive.
- Password is between eight and 20 characters and contains at least one number.
- Password allows the following special characters: ` ~ & ( ) - _ = + [ ] { } | / ; : ' , . ?
- Password cannot contain your username.
- Password cannot contain more than two of the same character in a row.
- Password cannot contain blank spaces.
- Password cannot be a common, easy to guess word (e.g. password)
What do I do if I get locked out of my account or cannot log in?
If you are having issues, please call Client Services at 800-847-4836 and say "mobile." Client Services is available Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Central time.

Is my phone supported?
You must have an iPhone 8 (or newer) with iOS 15 (or later) or an Android device with OS 10.0 (or later) to use the app.

Who can use the mobile app?
To use the app, you must have:
- An iPhone 8 or newer with iOS 15 or later or an Android device with OS 10.0 or later.
- At least one Thrivent product (not including Credit Union).
- A mobile number and unique email address on file with Thrivent. This means that if you and your spouse, child or other family member have the same email address on file, you must update that information before attempting to log in to the app. You can update your information by going to

I am the joint owner of a product—does the app allow access for more than one owner of a single product?
Yes. Each owner has a unique Thrivent ID and will need to have a unique email address on file before logging in to the app.
This means that if you and your spouse, child or other family member have the same email address on file, you must update that information.

Why am I required to provide a mobile number?
Mobile numbers are used as part of the verification/authentication process for the app.
Privacy & security
Is my data protected if I use the app?
Yes. The app will follow our existing policies regarding user privacy and security. Please refer to our privacy policy for the protection of your information.
Are biometrics supported?
After your first log in, devices that support face ID or touch ID will give you the option to set up face ID or touch ID. You can also enable biometrics within the application settings.
Features & benefits
When new features are added, how do I update my app?
The app should update on its own, but if your app is not updating automatically, you can update it manually:

- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap manage apps & devices. Apps with an update available are labeled “Update available.”
- Tap Update.
Can I do everything in the mobile app that I can do on thrivent.com?
At this time, the mobile app doesn’t have the full functionality of thrivent.com. We are working to introduce more features in the coming months, and those features will be added through regular updates to the app. Visit thrivent.com/app for a brief list of features.
