Kathryn Marinello has been a member of the Thrivent Board of Directors since 2014. She chairs the Human Resource committee and serves as a member of the Investment and Executive committees.
Using her vast business leadership experience, Marinello helps ensure that Thrivent remains strong and stable so it can help people achieve financial clarity, enabling lives of meaning and gratitude.
Marinello is currently the chief executive officer of PODS, a moving and storage company, headquartered in Clearwater, Florida. Prior to joining PODS, she was the chief executive officer for Hertz Global in Estero, Florida, and before that she served as senior advisor for Ares Management Corporation as well as chairman, president and CEO of Stream Global Services. In addition, she has held management positions at Citigroup, Chemical Bank New York (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.), First Bank Systems, and First Data Corp. She previously was a division president of General Electric Financial Assurance Partnership, and marketing and division president for General Electric Fleet Services. She also was president, CEO and chairman of Ceridian.
Marinello earned a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master in Business Administration and a Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. She now serves on the boards of Concentrix, Ares Acquisition Corporation and AB Volvo and has been actively involved in numerous industry associations, including the Business Roundtable and the Wall Street CEO Council.
Marinello is a former resident of Apple Valley, Minnesota, where she raised three sons with her husband, Paul, and was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. She currently resides in Bonita Springs, Florida.
