Regional leadership
The Thrivent Member Network regional board is made up of Thrivent clients with membership. The board provides leadership and strategic insights to help carry out Thrivent's mission on a local level. Clients with membership can have a voice by voting in the elections for the Thrivent Member Network board.
Johnson serves as Executive Director for Orchard Ridge Senior Living in Coeur d'Alene, ID. In addition to volunteering with multiple nonprofits, she is an active rotary member and serves on multiple healthcare associations. Johnson brings her lifelong experiences and like-minded support of Thrivent’s 'live generously' philosophy to enhance others' experiences within the member network.
Francis serves as the Assistant Professor of Sociology at Whitworth University. Most of Francis’ professional career has been devoted to issues of poverty and justice, first through direct service, then policy and advocacy, and now, teaching and research. He has done most of the work within faith-based organizations and looks forward to bringing that experience to the Thrivent Member Network Board in the Northwest. He is eager to learn more about all that Thrivent is doing and is excited to dream with others about what we can do together in the future.
The founder of Outward-Focused LLC and current Connections Pastor at Timberlake Church, Cole wants to maximize kingdom impact with like-minded people passionate about making a difference. Cole joined the Thrivent Member Network Board in the Northwest to find ways that he and his congregation can impact this region and beyond.
Johnson serves as the Director and Teacher at Wilson Preschool. She enjoys volunteering in the community. She has served as the Sunday School Superintendent, Director of VBS, Girl Scout Leader, and helps with the Special Olympics. Johnson loves Thrivent’s mission of service and hopes to get people engaged locally while brainstorming growth ideas for the region. Johnson views her time on the board as an opportunity to do her two favorite things: connect with people and serve others.
Our leaders work in the best interest of our membership––not third-party shareholders, like publicly traded companies. Clients with a benefit membership can vote in the annual election for the Thrivent Board of Directors. As the organization’s supreme governing body, the board focuses on serving the interests of the membership, both now and into the future. The board establishes and promotes Thrivent’s purpose and oversees major business decisions, and works with leadership to assess and manage risk.
