Regional leadership
The Thrivent Member Network regional board is made up of Thrivent clients with membership. The board provides leadership and strategic insights to help carry out Thrivent's mission on a local level. Clients with membership can have a voice by voting in the elections for the Thrivent Member Network board.
Justin Wynter is the Senior Enterprise Account Executive - Service Cloud at Salesforce. A Thrivent member since 2016, he volunteers with activities such as Silver & Black Give Back, Mobile Loaves and Fishes and the United Way of Caring. Financial literacy has become his passion, and he sees it as a crucial building block (or roadblock) for advancement within minority communities.
A Thrivent member since 1998, Michael Cuda is a partner at K&L Gates LLP in Dallas. He’s actively involved on the Lutheran Outdoors Ministry of Texas board of directors and on the Economic Development Board for the City of Arlington. He’s also a past president of his local Thrivent chapter. In his role on the board, he hopes to assist Thrivent in delivering its message of living generously.
Lockie Ealy is a real estate broker associate in Austin. A Thrivent member since 2012, she is actively involved in a number of volunteer programs, including Austin Pets Alive and Texas Humane Heroes, Habitat for Humanity and the Parkside Elementary PTA. "This is a great way to give even more back to the community and make a bigger impact on people's lives, " she says. "I'm excited about this new role."
A Thrivent member since 2023, Ron Darbouze is a finance director at CBRE, Inc. As a newly appointed board member, he looks forward to leveraging his knowledge and experience to assist the board in making sound decisions. Additionally, he aims to advocate for Thrivent and promote financial literacy, particularly within minority communities.
A Thrivent member since 1988, Tim Niekerk is the senior pastor at Salem Lutheran. His volunteer activities include his church, the Tomball Pregnancy Center, TOMAGWA Health Care Ministries, Resale with a Purpose, Impact Sundays Third Ward Mission, Kenya Mission and Love 146. He hopes to bring his experience, both as a lay member of a congregation and now leading a congregation, to help Thrivent further is mission as a fraternal benefit society.
Our leaders work in the best interest of our membership––not third-party shareholders, like publicly traded companies. Clients with a benefit membership can vote in the annual election for the Thrivent Board of Directors. As the organization’s supreme governing body, the board focuses on serving the interests of the membership, both now and into the future. The board establishes and promotes Thrivent’s purpose and oversees major business decisions, and works with leadership to assess and manage risk.
